About
Together with his wife, Naomi, and two daughters, Esther and Carmen, Fernan Lopez has brought together a community of Nicaraguan women (from La Pita, Astillero, Santa Teresa and Jinotepe) to form Finca Corazon, a passion fruit farm (ok, we dabble in cacao, coffee, dragon fruit, granadilla, achiote and honey, but we're partial to our delicious passion fruits)
Through the teachings of Mel Landers, Finca Corazon practices an indigenous agroforestry growing system to improve soil fertility and water holding capacity.
This form of Agriculture makes food production resistant to climate extremes, increases productivity, produces healthy food and accomplishes this in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
Together we eat, live and prosper.
